Responsibilities
The Head of Risk and Compliance will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of risk management and compliance. This role involves developing and implementing risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering a culture of risk awareness across the firm.
- Develop and implement comprehensive risk management frameworks and policies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
- Develop and maintain a robust compliance program, including policies, procedures, and training.
- Collaborate with senior management to integrate risk management into strategic planning and decision-making processes.
- Monitor and report on risk exposure and compliance status to the executive team and board of directors.
- Lead and mentor the risk and compliance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in risk management and compliance.
Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Risk Manager, Certified Compliance Professional, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certificated ICA in Compliance) is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management and compliance, preferably within the professional services industry.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards.
